Do you like apples?

(In your best Bostonian please) Aftah all the math was done, turns out Charlie Huntah played wicked hard and shot a blindah - 36! for 22 points and first sp-ah-t. Grant Cl-ah-rk was right behind 'im with 21, but no suh, it was Huntah that got the top numbah - how do ya like them apples? Don't flick the clickah, cause while that was happenin', acoupl'a townies were gettin' their balls to bang a uey for the closest to the pins - on #3 "The Little L-ah-d" Derrick Burrows and on #7 Ronnie Dugas.
Wanna go-ta Dunks?

I hope that's a hunk of clay in your pocket?!

"Ohhhhhh, my love, my darling, I've hungered for men's night - a long, lonely time". 82 golfers didn't stand a "ghost" of a chance last Thursday night as Stephen Bell and Richard Bowman found their chemistry - molding, caressing and sensually shaping each of their golf shots into 23 points and a 1st place embrace. We've always loved you, Steve and Rich.....Ditto.
Meanwhile, Jeff Graham and Rene Brajuha hit their shots hauntingly close on #3 and #7 for the closest to the pins.
Finally, we slid Charlie Hunter one penny at time up the clubhouse door - 3,450 times - for winning the 50/50 draw. Whoopi!
Special thanks to David Patterson and Billy Patterson for sponsoring such a romantic evening.

From the Balcony

The resemblance is uncanny!
Harding: What's wrong with you?
Woodrow: Either these other golfers are really bad or I have indigestion. I hope it's indigestion.
Harding: Why?
Woodrow: Indigestion gets better over time.
Harding: C'mon Woodrow, they're not half bad.
Woodrow: You're right, they're ALL bad. Hey, what's all that commotion over there?
Harding: Dale Walden and Dennis Burrows are leaving.
Woodrow: You know what that makes them?
Harding: Smarter than us! But I heard the men's night here is a runaway success?
Woodrow: Yep, everytime Shewfelt comes up to do the announcements you want to runaway.

Wakka wakka wakka! Woody "Woodrow" Widmeyer and Paul Harding scored 23 points each last week - earning a tie for first place and the right to sit in the balcony and heckle the results of the other 74 golfers.
The special guest for the night was Grant Clark who sang, danced and got a Hole In One on the 3rd hole. It was his 2nd lifetime ace and the second one for us in back to back weeks. Of course, this also earned Grant the closest to the pin on #3, while Mark Morton nestled one in tight on #7.
Special thanks to Steve Bell for being our sponsor and not even knowing it!

You're my boy, Wood!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to tonight's main event! In this corner, weighing in at 122 pounds and pushing 94 years of age, the recipient of a brand new plastic hip - Paul "Woody" Widmeyer. And in the opposite corner, weighing in at a combined 12,210 pounds, from Kincardine Men's Night, it's 66 other golfers.
"You sure you're ok with this, Wood?"
"Just ring the "earmuffs" bell, you horse's ass!"
"You're my boy, Wood!!"
Thursday night men's night went old school with Woody Widmeyer collecting 25 points to lead all the pledges. Will Vandeklippe was right behind him with 24 points and could have won but he had his first HOLE-IN-ONE on #3 and went "streakin' through town right after to celebrate.
Needless to say, Will also got the closest to the pin on #3, while Ken Davey found some time between Home Depot and Bed, Bath and Beyond to stick it tight on #7 - "Once it hits your club, it's so good!"
