Welcome to the Men's League 2017 Season

It is getting close to the end.  We have  been regularly challenged by the weather but the attendance has been fantastic every week so thanks for that support and effort.

This past week has been no different but 84 guys got the job done - some of you between raindrops and ahead of the thunder and lightning. About 10 other gave it a go but it was really bad at certain time of the day and they couldn't finish.

It was kinda weirdly fitting that the last shot of the day on #4 by Tom Martineau was jammed into the hole for an eagle. Well done

We have run out time so rescheduling or delaying was not an option. We looked at the results as posted on the website and then did a calculation using just 4 team members from each team ( 1 gross and 3 net) to assess how the results affect the overall totals and which teams would move forward. If you remember our league rule are that a minimum of 6 player is required for a team score to count. Unfortunately three teams had less than 6 players this week which is why we looked at the option of using 4 players.

After looking at both options ( and calculations) we determined that both approaches give us the same results and so we are using the outcomes on the website.

That means:

Section A  ( this group will play for the overall league title plus team prizes of $1000,$750,$500 and $250) will be Hyundai, Queens, Boston Pizza and Loyal Oarsman.

Section B ( this group will play for team prizes of $500 and $250 ) will be Investors Group, Subaru, SNC-Lavalin and Sutton

Section C ( this group will play for a $250 team prize) will be Toyota, Accra, Leisure Days and Cowan Ins.

These will all be straight up matches in each section with no carry over of points. Your team score of 2 gross and 4 nets scores will decide the winners.

We have spread the money out this year so that every team has something to play for right to the bitter end.

Make sure you sign up for Saturday which is our closing tournament. In addition to the steak dinner we are offering a minimum $3500 prize table and we will be paying out all the remaining skins plus the team money won during the second half of the year and playoffs.

See you this week,
