Welcome to the Wednesday Night Men's League 2017 Season

That's A Wrap - Season Finale

Right outta the gates our final week started off with a BANG.  Brett Wilson was out early and fired a 31 on the front, and just as most guys started arriving for their afternoon round Brett rolled in a downhill fifteen footer on 18 for an eagle 3 for a solid bogey free round of 61.   Word spread fast and the Bushwalkers had just what they needed to kick-start their attack on the top three.

Shortly after 5 pm the Trunk Slammers could taste victory as they hung on tight and never let go of first place.  The Slammers had the best team score of the season with a 226, that’s 12 under par.   They managed to have three useless bastards whose net scores were even par or better.  All I can say is well played boys, way to bring it home.

There were some serious battles going to round out the top 5.  Only 4 strokes separated the rest of the top five for the week.   Team Quiet Please managed to secure 5th place for the playoffs with a strong team total of 230 for the final week.  The Chunky Hookers also managed to show up and play some solid golf as they locked up 2nd place as the night progressed.   The Putt Cutters had a slim half point lead on third place to start the day and the Bushwalkers were determined to overtake them.  When all the dust settled the Bushwalkers and the Putt Cutters tied with team scores of 232 but the Bushwalkers came out on top with one more participation point for the week to squeak into 3rd place by the smallest of margins.

Playoffs Week 3 - Sept 6th

Week 3 of the Playoffs was a battle and Mother Nature reminded us who the boss is.  We were forced to make a decision to wash the entire days play after as the golf course remained unplayable and too little time to get everyone finished.

Players managed to post 79 scores before the Lightning halted play.  This left 40 players on the front 9 and hand full of eager players waiting to smash one off the first tee.

September 13th will remain as our final men's league round.  In a perfect world we could just play for another week but our greens are scheduled for aeration the week of the 20th.  This was a tough decision to make and it's extremely unfortunate that our first wash out day happened to be during the playoffs.

We have a list in the Pro Shop of everyone who played Men's League September 6th.  We will use these entry fees for next week. We will issue a Pro Shop credit for players who played yesterday but cannot make it for the final week or we will issue you a refund at your request.

We look forward to the conclusion of our 2017 Men’s League Season.  We have had great success with incredible numbers each week.  We have averaged over 130 players each week and we are already looking forward to the 2018 season.  Please stay tuned for exciting information about your next Men’s League Season.

Here is how we stand leading into our final week.

Good luck to everyone as we look forward to the upcoming battle in under a week’s time.

Practice Makes Perfect  :

It's time to use up your range passes and get to work because its playoff time!

Incase practice isn't your forte don't worry even NBA MVP "The Third Degree" thinks it's overrated :

"We're talking about practice, man. We're not even talking about the game, the actual game, when it matters. we're talking about practice."

However that bucket could go a long way in the stressful and skill testing weeks to come.

Stop by the proshop for all your range bucket needs:

$4.25 Small

$8.50 Large

Thanks to all the players who particpated in Week 11 and the regular season, see you next Wednesday for the start of the post season!
